Like Kylington and Andersson were disasters this series, they continually lose their guy, get out muscled in front of the net, and both made bizarre choices/mistakes on odd man rushes.
It was abundantly clear that Sutter had zero faith in Kylington without Tanev propping him up and you want to put our smallest D in the #1 position?

Well if Sutter did indeed entrust Hanifin with the hardest matchups, then that blew up in his face because I think Leon Draisaitl broke an Oiler record for most points in a single series beating the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier and etc.
In terms of Andersson, the conversation could be had to move him as well. I think he brings more to the table than Hanifin, he's a right shot which is hard to find and I like him more as the PP QB. But together, that pairing was an absolute mess. They were on the ice for 16 and 18 goals against respectively, that's more than Z and G who each had 9 and Kylington at 6, Tanev at 3 and Stone at 2.
Lastly, I don't have Kylington slotted at #1. I think he's fine just where he is with Chris Tanev. If you look at the numbers, even in the regular season, Kylington played a lot of minutes and in tough situations and he did well defensively. Obviously he had Tanev with him, but I think he gets overlooked. I think the Flames can get him on a good, cheap, long term deal here.
