Also the offensive player being able to hold his arm straight out to shield the puck from a defender has to go. If a defender can’t put his arm out to stop a player from going by it shouldn’t be allowed the other way. Drop your shoulder to protect the puck, sure. Protect the puck with your leg while driving, absolutely.
The NHL seems to think that 15 goal games are what people need to tune in. Honestly I’d take a 3-2 hard checking tight game where every inch is earned anytime over playoff pond hockey.
