McDavid is having a historic playoff we all know. The crazy part is some of the other Oiler stats - Leon 22pts, Kane 12(!) goals, Hymen 7 goals, RNH almost ppg. You add Smith's .931 and all of a sudden they look like they are rolling.
Flames certainly have the horses to compete with anyone, including a great goalie. But Flames are going to need some contributions from guys outside the top line, especially Toff, Jarnkrok, Mang, Coleman.
When they play their game, they certainly can break down the Oilers structure and shell Smith into fatigue. McDavid WILL get points, you can't stop him. The key is to limit him, and then be relentless offensively when he's grabbing a breather.
Perhaps MOST importantly, they can't play scared. You have to go for it, McDavid is still human. Just a really good one at hockey.
