We probably should only have one win out of the 8 with that goal tending against the Oilers. The teams pretty good to have won three this year

This. Markström has played 13 regular season games against the Oilers in a Flames jersey with a combined SV% of .884. I don't know what happened when he became a Flame, probably just overthinking it. He did just fine against the Oilers when he was tending for Vancouver.
The Flames haven't been at their best and yes there have been defensive breakdown, but those numbers are atrocious and totally backed up by the old eyeball test.
I don't understand why we're even talking about this when there's another perfectly decent goalie on the team who hasn't been given a chance to show what he's got. Carolina is doing just fine with their backup. The Flames do not deserve to be down 3-1.
Markström is a fine goalie, but he can't give us a chance to win right now.
EDIT:
Honestly this is some pretty terrible coaching. The staff should have been aware of this issue, so it can't come as a surprise to them. I get letting Markström try to get out the jitters in the regular season and maybe in the first couple of games, but after that there's no excuse, Vladar should have been given a chance.
Yeah maybe he doesn't help, but maybe he does. Unless I'm mistaken, Vladar has never played against the Oilers.
