1 Florida Panthers vs 8 Tampa Bay Lightning

6 games, teams will split the first two before the Panthers eek out wins in the last two to win the series. Tampa's veteran team will keep things close and 3 of the Panther wins will be in OT.

2 Montreal Canadiens vs 7 Atlanta Thrashers

This will be a close series that sees game 7 go to OT. In the end the Habs have enough weapons to scrape by a recently beefed up Thrashers squad.

3 Carolina Hurricanes vs 6 Pittsburgh Penguins

Canes were very good down the stretch and had a good defensive team all year. But something happens in game 4 after the Canes are up 2-1 and the Pens rally for 3 straight wins to take it in 6.


4 Washington Capitals vs 5 New York Rangers

Jeff always gets out of the first round. Don't ask me how he does it, but he seems to pull it off every year. Rangers in 7.

1 Colorado Avalanche vs 8 Dallas Stars

Avalanche outman the stars at every position and walk away in 5 games.

2 Minnesota Wild vs 7 Phoenix Coyotes

The most one sided series in CPHL History see's the Wild crush the Coyotes in 4 games by a cumulative total of 30-5. Drunk still claims he had the better team even though stats prove him dead wrong.

3 Los Angeles Kings vs 6 Vancouver Canucks

The Upset du jour in the West as Cloutier breaks down in game 3 and Biron is able to backstop the Canucks to a 6 game series win.

4 Edmonton Oilers vs 5 Chicago Blackhawks

Oil struggled down the stretch and the Hawks have always been a team that the Sim seems to like over the Oilers. Hawks take it in 6.
