After that turn of momentum in game 2 (thanks refs), you go into Edmonton probably looking for the split.
That hasn't yet been spoiled. Doesn't matter if it's the first or second game, you just wanted to take one and regain your home ice.
And if you need an example to boon your optimism, NYR just came back from 1-3 on the Pens, and Smith when peppered wth higher quality shots is hardly above Domingue or Jarry, IMO. And we're not even in that kind of a hole yet, so the series is still very much in the balance.
Also worth noting that the Flames have yet to play like themselves for more than a period in this series, and it was more or less the same after 3 games vs Dallas. You have to imagine we'll see that from them before all said and done.
