Kylington might replace that some day, but it's also clear that Tanev is somehow buoying Kylington's play, allowing for an effective pairing where both guys can play to their strength.
Shows what Tanev does for the D core here though too, like, everything is out of whack all of a sudden with him gone. Stone's great and we all love what he brings, but he's no Tanev.
I kinda feel like the team just figured they'd own Edmonton again in game 2, and got a little casual. I think even without Tanev the defence is good enough to block things up and take away chances. But giving up multiple breakaways and having a serious lack of communication and positioning.... that's gotta go away or this series is gonna get ugly fast.
Looking forward to a slightly more humble Flames team tonight.

The Flames thought the game was over in game 1 as well and the all started trying to pad stats. They better wake up soon or tee times will be in their near future. I have a feeling they will be better prepared tonight.
