If the dude wants to say goodbye, and explain himself to a place that he's contributed to for years, let him.

It's ####ing zamler. It's not cringy. It's his way of telling us to wake the hell up, and we should listen.

And if you don't want to listen, don't come into the thread and comment to begin with. You can literally go anywhere else to find a conversation you'd rather contribute to.

This isn't adding anything. It's just being ignorant and dismissive. And the piling on of people that thank it goes to show how much this judgmental group-think stuff permeates the board now.
It's high school level attention seeking. This is an anonymous hockey forum, why does it have to be so dramatic? I've been posting here for over 15 years now (holy #### that feels weird to say) and there hasn't been some great cultural shift like some seem to think. Back then it was a group of Flames fans that talked about hockey and a bunch of other stuff, emotions ran high in game threads, and was filled with great insight and terrible takes. And aside from a lot of new usernames, that's still what CP is today. Just because someone takes a certain post too personal and calls it quits doesn't mean we need to "wake up", I'd say the onus is on them to take a step back and collect themselves. Compared to the likes of Facebook, reddit, and hf, this is the least toxic social media site I've seen
