But why not. Especially with the now expanded WC. Mexcio won't be ever to host again solo with these extra games and with their aging stadia, nor will Canada ever with non existent stadia, so throw 20 various group games with Canada and Mexico in their home country, and a few second round games, to be huge events in Canada and Mexico rather then meh events in Nashville or Baltimore.

Both points of view are well made.
My understanding is that FIFA try to rotate through the continental federations and this enables CONCACAF to get matches in the 3 geographically largest regions.
Essentially, give Canada respect/reward for continued growth of the game and the success of the women’s World Cup.
Some group matches in Canada? Tremendous energy and sellouts will be guaranteed. That’s what FIFA want. I’m personally stunned that I will be able to see a World Cup match in Canada.
