They feel compelled to make a pass at them that can make their experience here a bit more miserable, because they don't like their posting style or things they have said. And then the passes add up over time.
The problem is the inability to remain uninvolved if we don't like how somebody else likes to go about their business or drive a discussion.
Rather than saying "meh I don't care for that, I'll go somewhere else", some posters have to chime in.. JUST to express their displeasure.
It adds nothing and it just discourages posters from saying what they want to, which everybody should be allowed to do without those drive by judgments.

But like… not when what a poster wants to say is “threads like this are cringey”… then it’s ok to get involved when we don’t like it and chime in JUST to express our displeasure, right? THEN it’s ok to make a pass at the poster and not accept that they have a different POV.
Gotta make sure you make that clear my man. Because you know, we can’t be doing those things you said… unless the poster is one of the bad ones… then go off, king! Discourage those bad guys from saying what they want to!
