There were always going to be a couple penalty filled games that the oilers would win. That was one of them.
Despite that I did think the oilers were fortunate to not get called in some of the picks in the offensive zone and were fortunate again on some of the even up calls.
I’m not confident that we see a similar game to that again in this series and the Flames still were in the game. A couple bounces and they are up 2 games. Instead it’s tied.
Through two games the Flames have higher corsi, expected goals and high danger chances. I’m hoping that the emotions settle out a touch after those two games and the Flames find their form on the road.
