GTs can be toxic at times, but I don't think they're as bad as some people make them out to be. They are rollercoasters. And the team has been so good this season that the PGTs have been overall pretty fun.
I stopped visiting FB years ago and it was a great decision for me. Don't miss it one bit. And twitter can be brutal, but it also depends who you're following and reading. I stopped following a lot of political accounts this past year and I've noticed a big difference. I just try to stick to sports for the most part.
As a mod I'll just say what I've said dozens of times over the years.....please report posts that you think we need to look at. We cannot read every single post on here. We just don't. So if there's something that definitely needs to be taken care of please let us know. And also some self-moderation would be a big help to everyone here. We all can get wound up at times over whatever subject it is we're passionate about, but try pretending that person is sitting across from you IRL. Would you still talk to them the same, versus thinking it's just some random person on the internet that you can talk to like garbage?
This place is supposed to be fun. The internet can be a dark, toxic and depressing place. Let's try to keep this place fun.

Twitter is to me a much better avenue for getting Flames content because you can stick to the guys who report on the team. Ryan Pike, Darren Hayes, etc....these guys do an amazing job and I love their takes.
Not sure about the mods side. On one hand the digs at people aren't necessarily ban or warning worthy, but I guess if you add them up over a long period of time (like what Zamler has been dealing with in regards to the EV threads), it just gets to the point where there isn't much purpose in sticking around anymore.
Honestly not sure what to do about any of this. It is to me very much reflective of how the entire world is these days. As soon as you show interest in a subject or post your perspective there will always be people who take shots at you.
