Value to the Rangers, sure. But value to the Canes at the time of the Hamilton deal? If they were going to acquire Fox straight up on a "chance" they could sign him, I doubt they valued the chance the same the Rangers did a sure thing. I am saying, at the time of the Hamilton trade, how much value did he have to the Canes and Flames? Somewhere between zero and a 2nd + 3rd rounder being the high mark. I just doubt it was close to the high mark at that point. I could be wrong.
