The political landscape in Alberta has become mind boggling in many ways. Kenney has been forced out by the far right faction in the UCP - all of the current contenders to replace him (Jean, Smith, etc) are aligned with the trucker convoy anti-vaxxer crowd (do a Google search for their comments when it was happening). I have supported conservative parties all my life really, but could never get behind that camp. The idea of voting NDP is personally nauseating. Alberta seems ripe for the rise of a centre, right-leaning party, but there doesn't seem to be that option.
