I think one of the things I like so much about listening to Sutter's interviews is the insights provided into how he operates like a teacher with his players. He seems like a coach in the truest sense of the word, not just drawing up plans but really developing his players in all facets of what it takes for them to succeed.

Sutter has always had a reputation to be a hard ass. However I wonder if that is misunderstood. Grumpy when the team is losing? Which true competitive person wouldn't be? However, if you listen to what he has to say you really do get the sense that he isn't the hard nosed taskmaster that he was previously made out to be. Maybe he was but he is smart and strives for success and improvement, not just in his team and his players but himself too.
