That wasn't a cut a you specifically, but TBH, posting "useless" with zero context really doesn't add any value to the discussion. Like, who is useless? what is useless? why is that player useless? A one word response like that, really doesn't further the discussion at all. I'm sure you have some actual thoughts about the play or the game that amount to more than just, "useless". We want to hear those thoughts. I think SebC nailed it a bit earlier, come prepared with well thought-out posts, otherwise your gonna get torn apart by the large swaths of nerds on this forum.
I would say that a lot of the posters here are hockey nerds (in the best possible way) who are quite insightful and thoughtful in what they post, and that's what we want to encourage. It's for the benefit of the entire CP community if people are super thoughtful in what they post. I myself have learned a ton from this board over the years because of this. We want to be a community (I would like to think) of thoughtful hockey/Flames fans, not just a mob of homers and emotional posters, which is what I think HF has degenerated into. IMO a check/balance like the WoS helps us to achieving that.
Like, the greatest success of the WoS could one day be it's undoing. I think it would be a great day for the forum if the WoS ceased to exist one day because there wasn't bad content the be quoted.
