Man so many AMD people jumping ship. Are you not even going to wait until AMD releases their next gen to compete with the Core 2 Duo before giving the throne back to Intel? That said yes the Core 2 Duo is the best on the market now. If you are getting Vista get 2 gb's, trust me on that one. The rest of the stuff is all just based on preference.
