Doesn't work for me either but judging by the name of the link, it's Brass Bonanza. As I've written on these boards before, I grew up a die-hard Whaler fan. In southern Ontario, I could pick up the radio broadcasts from Chuck Kaiton in Hartford. That, combined with the fact I had more Whaler hockey cards than any other team, resulted in me being a big fan of the Whale.
Ron Francis and Kevin Dineen were my idols.
When I was in college and learned of their demise, I took the last of my student loan money and spent it on a bus ticket to Hartford to see them play the Bruins. En route, I stopped in Washington to see the Whale play there. Since I didn't have enough money for tickets (and was a journalism student) I faked credentials and received a press pass to the games.
Of course it was hard not to cheer, but cheering was rarely necessary on that trip. Typically...the Whale tied the Caps in a rather dull game and lost in OT to the Bruins. The road trip summed up my life as a Whale fan...full of disapointment! Good memories, nonetheless.
