I agree. I'm not suggesting that Quick has been better than Smith or outdueling Smith. I am also not suggesting that Smith has been bad objectively this series.
I just think that in my opinion, because Edmonton has been poor defensively and gives up a lot 5 on 5, they need him to perform at least .930 to win. He really can't let in more than 2 or 3 a game. Smith's heater in April seems to be slowing down and he's turning back into his regular self. If he dips below .930 and LA continues to carry the play, then the Oilers have to try to outscore their problems - which is tough when you don't have the puck very much.
Could totally change but that's what I'm seeing.
