The biggest change is Smith is regressing back towards his typical standard SV% of .915. He always goes on hot streaks and he had a significant heater in April. He's been inconsistent in this series and is starting to regress back to his mean. In my opinion, Edmonton needs elite level goaltending because their 5 on 5 play is too weak.
Last night (game 5) was SV% of .884 was not good enough. Game 1 (L) was .886. Game 2 (W) was 1.000. Game 3 (W) was .957. Game 4 (L) was .933. His SV% this year was .915 but I think he needs to be at least .930 or better for Edmonton to win the next two in a row.
