wow Tony Dalton is amazing. The episode was a bit of a filler one setting up future events, but even so, I felt there was good tension with the Germany story. While we are not particularly vested in the wife, I really found myself rooting for her to make it.

The Howard story line is so interesting at the meta level. If I did not have such confidence in the creative team, I would be worried they are wasting their last season. But I am assuming it will all come together and I will be satisfied with how it plays out. I guess I'm just worried we'll have a GoT situation where it goes off the rails at the end!

But then I have to remind myself that the overall arc of the show is how Jimmy McGill becomes Saul Goodman. And I have to imagine that this Howard story is going to get Jimmy his settlement money and afford him the lavish lifestyle we saw getting torn down in the season opening flash forward. Certainly a lot of that was afforded based on Walt and Jesse's earnings, but I have to think to fully transform by shows end that he has to already be living that life of luxury.
