I think the Ikaris question is interesting. For example NACI currently does not recommend boosters for children. This is likely because the 50% increase in protection from hospitalization is not meaningful given the low initial risk. At some point this crosses over and the benefits of vaccination outweigh any side affects. But that point does exist somewhere and taking about where that point lies is reasonable.

The way Ikaris does it and seems to like to live in the areas where data os lacking like a Christian who believes in evolution creating a god of the gaps and then conflates a lack of data with backing his position is troubling.

But the wider question of a person of x age and x weight and x other contributing should get what vaccine program. The best answer we have right now for that is the NACI recommendations.
