Two things that have bothered me this season is the Flames inability to comeback if they don't score the first goal of the game, and the Flames overtime record.

There are those that argue that 3-on-3 hockey is not playoff hockey, but it still gives indication of how clutch the team/players are when dealing with a high stakes situation. And I feel this team doesn't pass the eye test when things aren't going perfect for them.

They have to be playing with the lead in order to be comfortable. If they face adversity where they need to rally from behind to tie, and then try to get the lead, they haven't shown tendencies that they can pull that off consistently. With this playoff series against a team where they are being contained, it's exposing the Flames as a team that can't win games where they're required to comeback.

It's a symptom of the team's lack of resiliency. Sutter has done a great job to make the core of the team be good at always dictating the play, and normally not playing from behind. But in the playoffs when you're facing the same opponent over and over, against a team that's being responsible enough defensively, and a goalie that's not gonna give up bad goals, that's a lot harder to attain.

If you're gonna be a playoff team that can win a round, you have to be able to win from behind. I seriously doubt the Flames ability to do that. Everything has to be perfect for them to win, and that's just not how this works; especially in the playoffs. The team is not clutch. The Johnny breakaway near the end is the epitome of the Flames playoff history.
