You make a hockey trade with Tkachuk (St Louis maybe), you use the $10,000,000 you were gonna pay Johnny elsewhere, and you keep Magiapane, who you likely can’t keep if Johnny and Tkachuk re-sign. I’m not saying this is my preference but it may be the road we go down if we can’t get out of the first round again.
