Flames are getting no luck, and not nearly enough productive play from their middle six. Otherwise they're right there with Dallas - better overall - and are at least even-odds to win the next game.
My biggest concern after this one is not the 2-1 Dallas lead, but how tonight's outcome affects the Flames' confidence/belief level. This will be a huge test of Sutter's coaching ability I think. There's still no reason the Flames shouldn't win this series - but the risk of them beating themselves just went up.
Adjustments for next game: I'd still like to see Ruzicka in and Jarnkrok bumped out, and the middle six blendered a bit to see if they can create anything whatsoever.
Series is very much a coin-flip, I still think the Flames are very much in it, but I have some nagging fear that the Johnny breakaway may prove its defining moment. I sure hope not.
