You could be right, but using the indigenous army to fight off the greedy corporation was literally the last 45 mins of Phantom Menace. Swap the trade federation for the pyke, the gungans for the tuskans and Boba for the Jedi and its pretty much the same. I would have expected that to end in mutual respect between the Tuskans and Townsfolk instead of animosity. But yeah, that also came out 25 years ago so it might be that it wouldn't play well today either.
