You could just watch his escape from the Sarlacc, robbed by Jawas and then go straight to finding Fennec and getting Slave 1 back and keep 95% of the narrative going forward.
It honestly feels like someone wrote the first 4 episodes for Boba Fett and then somebody wanted to push the Mando hype and forced them to shoehorn in Mando 2.5. I know they were all written by Favreau, but they just feel like 2 different series with 2 different intents.

Is there also a thought that maybe an outsider using an indigenous population as an army to mafia-like control of a city might not have been the most PC look? Could have been heading that way and they decided it didn't play very well.
