Many years ago (for I am very old) I used to play tabletop hockey simulators – Strat-O-Matic and games like that.
We had one or two silly people who liked to do impossible things, like play their backup goalie at forward, or a skater in net. So we came up with the ‘Brown Pod Rule’: If you put a player in a position he absolutely could not play, then any time the puck went to that player it was an automatic turnover. (Or, if the Brown Pod was in net, an automatic goal.)
Since Saros went down, the Preds have had two brown pods in goal. They can split the blame equally between them.
