MOD and map updates for the day. Ukrainians managed to retake 40KM east of Kharkiv in a counter-offensive yesterday in wider effort to force the Russians to retreat from the area, break the threat to the city, and disrupt supplies to other areas of the Donbass under Russian control.
Russia appears to be continuing to struggle in other areas which appears to be a result of the Ukrainian destruction of the Izyum/Belgorod and Kherson command centres earlier in the week, as a result they've just been lobbing artillery and missiles for the last little bit including using examples where they are using expensive anti-ship missiles against ground targets. This points to continued shortages of PGMs for the Russians.
More rumors that Russian's prepping to send more troops with Ukrainians claiming Russians will declare mobilization and war on Ukraine on May 9th. Hopefully just rumors, but wouldn't put it past Putin to through more demoralized troops into the meat grinder to save face.
