Top line averaged a xGF last night of 0.09 ... less than 10% of a five on five goal.
On the season they averaged 0.79 xGF per game, and didn't have a single night at the 0.09 level. Their worst game in the regular season was the Nov 11th game in Montreal at 0.17.

Other way to look at it though ... Flames are up 1-0 with their top line playing their worst five on five game of the year! Like the odds of them improving from rock bottom.

Watching in person, their repeated tactic of Johnny or Matty centers the puck from behind the net failed again and again every single time. It was picked up or blocked before someone could get off the one timer. It seems like Dallas has focused on and solved this strategy.
