It's part of HNIC's mandate to cheer mindlessly for both Canadian teams in the playoffs. (Everybody knows Calgary is not really part of Canada. It's a hick town in Texas somewhere.)

A referee with guts would give McDavid a
double minor for that: Two for embellishment, plus two for holding the stick.
