I think the point is he wouldn't have 49 points in Backlunds role, ...look at the Panthers scoring stats, anyone with a pulse gets 40 points.
Sam Bennett wouldn't be some amazing 2nd line center in Calgary. He would probably have 39 points like Backlund does.
