Although I didn't like the Bennett trade, Treliving's strength was always his moves and contracts with player personnel. His weakness was the terrible coaching hires. Bringing Sutter in has saved his job by actually getting the most out of his moves with players. Sutter has filled the big gap at the middle of the puzzle and makes every other piece fit together, including Treliving, whose job he has no doubt made much more secure in doing so.
