Ryan Lomberg was suspended for instigating in the last 5 minutes of the game of the Florida-Tampa game. Both players dropped the gloves, it's in the rulebook, you can't do that, and consequences from it are appropriate.
This made me think about the March 10th win over Tampa where Stamkos hops onto the ice, goes straight to Monahan, and jumps him with a minute left in the game.
It's also not like this is a new rule (2005-06), but it irks me this is clear star treatment and I wish NHL refs had post-game press conferences. |
