Until this year, Calgary would have ranked very low on the "chance to win" meter.
In fact, they've had a reasonably long stretch of not winning much at all.
That can change in a hurry, so I'm not sure how much stock that Johnny and Tkachuk will place in Calgary being a place you can win in.
I'm more and more convinced it will simply come down to dollars. And the reason they haven't signed yet is they haven't been offered enough yet. Of course, those goalposts likely have moved since the start of the season with a huge year and UFA approaching for Johnny, and a huge year and the one year QO approaching for Tkachuk.
I expect Trev will show them the money at the end of the season now.
