There was no beating of Monahan by the fan base, we all recognize what he did for the team and the unfortunate circumstances of his injuries. Calling for him to be benched in favour of other players because he couldn't play worth a damn is not wrong nor is wanting to cut him loose because his salary is crippling to signing key players. It is a business.
