My guys have been a bit of a mess, all season, and lame duck interim coach Derek King, seems torn between trotting out the youngsters and running Kane/DeBrincat into the ground. DeBrincat/Strome/Kane are the only consistent offensive threat, and can seem to generate offense out of unpromising possessions. The Flames must cover DeBrincat in the same spot that Ovi has worn out, with the Caps, bottom of the left circle. King, recently has moved Kane to Toews' wing to try to get Toews going, but, IMO, Toews is nearing the end of his career. But, last game Kubalik (having a snakebit year) was with T. Johnson and Toews.

Probable lines (to start):

DeBrincat — Strome — Kane
Kubalik — Toews — T. Johnson
Raddysh — Reichel — Lafferty
Katchouk — R. Johnson — Entwistle
de Haan — S. Jones
McCabe — Regula
C. Jones — Vlasic

(Gustafsson and Stillman look to be scratches, today, but, I'd rather see Stillman than McCabe)

Lankinen
Delia

The Blackhawk Defense has been terrible, S. Jones and McCabe are overrated. DeHaan is a pylon (the injured C. Murphy is worse). Youngsters Vlasic and Regula can be counted on for D-Zone turnovers. Gustafsson barely plays defense on his best days. C. Jones has been playing well, recently.

As 3 lines of 'Hawk forwards have been dead weight, look for a recklessly gambling defense crashing down. Your guys WILL get odd man counter attack chances.

Goaltending, I see no future for any current Blackhawk option. Lankinen will lose his net often, and spends a lot of time floundering while prone, on the ice. Bad rebounds will be spit out as he is reduced to throwing himself at pucks.

Does this mean I think it will be an easy win for your guys? No, because of the wild inconsistency of my guys' D, and the constant threat of Kane to DeBrincat to Strome with a D man crash counter rushes. The 'Hawks have had nothing to lose, and will fly the O-zone and make ridiculously wild stretch passes to try to generate O.

I have tonight off, and it looks like I will be able to get the game on ESPN+. Note on Blackhawk broadcast, our HOF PBP guy called his last game the other day, and I don't know what to expect for the new guy, Eddie Olcyzk is still the analyst so you will get a fairly balanced views from him, as he is used to doing Nationwide network calls.

Looking forward to joining you guys/gals in the GT...
