I think winning is numero uno and I believe Brad Treliving is of the same opinion. This was always going to be the last year of his “window” and he went all in. Not even going to blame him as his leash going into the season was quite short, so why not do everything in your power to win so that your tenure here with the Flames didn’t look like a complete failure.
At some point the asset management game has to be put on hold to win and the path was wide open for the Flames to do just that this season.
