I’m glad he’s never felt vindictive to the fans or reporters like other athletes of the world. I just hope he remembers this night when he’s trying to decide where he wants to spend the rest of his career. It was a real special night for him and his family to partake and I hope this was the kind of night that keeps him from looking elsewhere. This team and franchise needs him.

Not trying to be a wet blanket during this awesome season he's having, but the reality is that he is without a contract next year and his playoff performances have left something to be desired. Trade proposals were not a ridiculous suggestion, especially with the possibility of him walking.
For the record, I hope we sign him for 8.
