MOD updates for the day. With Russia having pulled out of norther Ukraine, evidence for war crimes mount with with more reported cases of rape, Russians leaving IEDs, and booby traps in their wake.
Focus on the war now shifts to the east for both sides around Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, and Kherson. Ukrainian counter attacks continue to inch towards Kherson from the north and west of the city, which will likely lead to an attempt to retake it in the next couple of weeks.
At this point there are likely to be few fully intact Russian units left, and attacks from the Russians would likely be comprised of reconstituted units, which will contribute to greater disorganization with the Russians. Russians appear to be getting desperate for troops recruiting from areas outside Russian proper. A new Russian convoy has also formed in the Kharkiv area sending supplies and reinforcements to Izyum for an eventual push by the Russians to take the Kramatorsk. In Mariupol Russians continue to gain ground against exhausted Ukrainian defenders. Defenders appear to be trapped in two remaining pockets against the cost being only resupplied sparsely by helicopter.
