That is going to be a major key in getting Markstrom some rest. it felt like when we had Kiprusoff we were working him hard till the last day of the season just to get into the dance.
I think the situation here is much different and I trust Sutter with Markstroms workload.

It was mentioned also in another thread that the mid-season COVID break is also a huge factor that throws the numbers out. Markstrom went 18 straight days without playing in December, then played three of the next five over nine days, went nine straight days without a start after that, and then had only one more game in the next eight days. That is five games in 41 days, with all five occurring over a period of three weeks.
Since the end of the COVID break Markstrom has played 2,118:38 in 36 games, and 25 of those have been at home. He should be as fresh as he ever has been heading into the playoffs.
