All in all. not a bad game. They controlled the flow for stretches and had more quality chances than they get in most games, while playing a pretty disciplined team.
I think they did get a bit lucky though. Seattle's overly aggressive PK left Calgary players wide open way too many times, and I worry that because Calgary mostly failed to take advantage of that, that the coaching staff will ignore the optics and just look at the results and not make changes, but all in all, the team played hard.
And another loss is only good for draft position, so it does not sting too much

Not sure why people were cheering Dallas to lose. Stars are the only club that can realistically catch Nashville who are completely useless. As it stands Calgary gets free bingo spot Nashville Preds in first round. A boring club that can't score to save their lives. Markstrom would shutdown that club so easy. If you want Flames to lose in first round you want Dallas to face them. No way Vegas is getting in as WC1. Vegas only realy chance is nabbing last WC, which means they play Colorado.

Truthfully , because the Oilers are their own worst enemy. Don't remember the season but the Oil looked like a sure thing to make the playoffs and in the last couple of weeks they collapsed. I doubt that'll happen but if other teams can make it easier for them to get in, I'm all for it. Three weeks ago there was a poll on here where two-thirds thought we wouldn't make it. I think it was after losing to CHI and PHI.

Nobody outside of Vegas should be cheering for Vegas. They’re the prime example of everything wrong with the league. A franchise that has been gifted every conceivable benefit by the league, starting from favourable expansion draft rules, to favourable officiating. A management staff who run the team like a video game and show no loyalty or appreciation for its players.
I hope they’re stuck in cap hell for eternity and miss the playoffs for 50 straight years.
