Call up medium sized (1000-2000 employees) that are Calgary based and ask to speak to the HR department. They might be able to give you an idea of what they have.

Or, get some entry level office job. Many places need a whack of people like document management (21st century filing) and I'd think you could easily grab $20/hour doing that. Once you are in, see what else is available.
