Been saying this for a while now as those players are the primary culprits for the slide last week. They have all had chances but the puck just isn't going into the net for them. The only reason they won the game last night was because of Johnny's stellar play. If he's taken out of the equation this team needs other players to step up and that just hasn't been happening of late. That said usually the bounces will start going the other way and I would rather that happen closer to the playoffs as they all seem to be pretty streaky.
Also is it me or is there something about the Kings even without Doughty in the lineup that brings out the worst in Tkachuk. Couldn't finish last night, turned over the puck leading to the first goal against. Bad offensive zone slashing penalty (yes there was embellishment but you slash a player in front of the official and they tend to raise their hands) and careless with his stick at the end of the game putting the team in a bind to close out the game. Another game against the Kings where he wasn't at his best.
