When the opposition player has both arms around you and you have only one hand on the stick, you can’t get the other hand back on until he stops holding you. It it no different from a defenseman pushing a forward into the goalie, if you commit a foul because someone else commits an infraction that forces your body into that situation, you shouldn’t be considered responsible. Besides which, since when is a review allowed to call (not negate) a penalty (other than delay of game) that’s not called on the ice?
