Some of the logic on why he should have been left in is bizarre, especially the sentiment of he was crap before, so why now? Even if he should have been scratched before, why should that stop a decision in the present, people are required to perpetuate mistakes if they've made them?

I'm not passionate about this one way or the other tbh, I can see both sides of the argument on this one (leave him in, take him out). But from my perspective, part of an impressive Iron Man streak isn't just that you managed to stay healthy and were durable, but it's also that you deserved to be there. Being a legit NHL roster player, and managing to stay healthy for 1000 straight games are both part of the accomplishment - it's durability, and testament to consistent play. Seems like Yandle wasn't really the checking the deserves to be there box on this one, so not sure he deserved the Iron Man streak anyway.
