Whatever ends up happening though, this definitely complicates things for the GM which is not good. Monahan’s contract must go in order to sign the big ticket free agents and this situation definitely muddles things up.

If they are two completely separate issues and it is just a coincidence. I am obviously not a doctor, but intuitively it seems like the current hip issue might be related directly to the other hip problems on the other side. If that is the case, it would be a sign that it isn't getting better.
