Wouldn’t the bigger problem be the same hip? That would effectively end his career as it clearly is not getting better. If he gets 2 “good” hips again, maybe this problem of his goes away for good and he never has hip problems again.
Whatever ends up happening though, this definitely complicates things for the GM which is not good. Monahan’s contract must go in order to sign the big ticket free agents and this situation definitely muddles things up.
