I mean, I get it. It's been 30+ years of disappointment with this franchise. But this year's team just feels different to me. This is an excellent hockey team that's going through a bit of a rough patch. It's a long season, and every good team goes through this at some point. Both Tampa and Colorado have gone through it recently. Flames will be fine. Better to get it out of their system now while they still have a cushion atop the Pacific.
