You pointing out that Flames are closer in points to missing the playoffs than winning the Conference is a good dose of humility really. Flames are not some NHL superpower, they still need to outwork opponents and play with the lead more often than not.

Not sure anyone has or is calling them a superpower.
They are in the West which has had some sputtering teams this year and with that have a decent path to the western conference final.
But lots can happen (good and bad) on that road.
They've just hit a rut, all the top teams have gone through them.
Still say the stick was in Linholm's hands.
